Photographer Michelle Citrin, of Neox Image, was invited on-set to a video shoot for some of the world’s top Parkour athletes of the World Freerunning and Parkour Federation. While their short stay in Miami, Neox had the opportunity to photograph the amazing athletes at their studio in Wynwood.

Parkour is a physical discipline which focuses on efficient movement set within urban environments. Developed in France, the main purpose of the art is to teach participants how to move through their environment by vaulting, rolling, running, climbing, and jumping.

An obstacle presented with the shoot was that the freerunners were unable to perform their top stunts when contained within the confines of a studio. The beauty and elegance capable of these athletes come from their thoughtful movements while free falling and running through environments.

David and Michelle decided to showcase Parkour in a different light than usually portrayed. The shoot focused on an intimate and revealing look into the true character and art of Parkour which is not about reckless running but about the precision and meditation through movement.

"Love yourself, respect others, let go, dream big and breathe…
this is parkour.”
-Justin “Jet” Sheaffer, a WFPF athlete.

As a continuation of the artist project started a few months back by David Lloyd and Michelle Citrin of Neox Image, they brought in the fun Emily Joynton for a portrait session. Emily’s personal style and stunning features inspired the photographers to do a colorful and lighthearted shoot.

Burning Man 2012
Well Neox had quite the adventure at this years Burning Man. We were commissioned by our 2 friends to photograph their beautiful wedding out in the Nevada Desert at a venue to remember. We traded the comforts of Miami for a insulated “Yurt” and plenty of Playa dust! The wedding was truly beautiful. The couple commissioned an artist to construct a stained glass labyrinth as the backdrop for their marriage. As the sun set over the couple an ordained pirate acted as the wedding officiant, and added that special touch to a wedding that perfectly fit the scene. We feel truly grateful to not only be apart of such a special occasion for our friends, but to participate in a exceptionally unique adventure. We met so many amazing people, and made some extraordinary memories for years to come.
Our blessings go out to Eric and Liz!
